Kenya, Gachatha AA

Operated by the Gachatha Farmers Co-op since 1963, this factory brings together around 900 active members. Each farmer tends roughly 300 coffee trees on less than a hectare, often alongside other crops. The surrounding community is densely populated, so the factory takes extra care with wastewater and pollutants. Locals also work hard to preserve indigenous plants, protecting the birds and wildlife that call the area home.

In the cup, bright lemonade and juicy mango meet a touch of blackcurrant for a fresh, lively finish.
