Wush.
Israel Hernandez is a third-generation producer from Rioblanco, Tolima, who’s spent his life working with coffee. In 2005, he bought a farm in the nearby town of Uribe and called it Buenos Aires, inspired by the cool mountain air and perfect elevation conditions.
Alongside Caturra and Castillo, Israel planted Geisha and later Wush Wush — a rare variety originating in Ethiopia known for its floral aromatics, bright acidity and delicate sweetness (much like geisha). With training and a focus on detail, he began producing elegant, expressive lots that earned him recognition, including a 4th place finish in Colombia’s 2020 Cup of Excellence. For Israel Hernández, every harvest is a way to share his story and hard work.
This is our first time purchasing Wush Wush, and therefore our first time sharing it! We hope you like it as much as we do off the cupping table.
